BBQ Rib Sauce recipe

Ribs make a very economical and filling meal any time of year served with savoury rice and a salad. This sauce can be too sweet for some so reduce the sugar by 100 grams. I simmer the ribs in the sauce for 20 minutes and then drain off the sauce. You can finish them later in the day if you wish. Finish the ribs in a medium hot oven for another 20 minutes basting with the sauce for the last 5 minutes or so. They are also very good on the bbq but I always precook them in the same way to prevent them drying out and to ensure the meat is falling off the bone.
